Stone (Also known as smooth stone, or rock) is the most common resource in MineBlocks. It exists only a few blocks under the player's feet. It is easily mined, as it only requires a wooden pickaxe to mine. When mined, it drops cobblestone, which is required to craft the next tier of tools: stone tools.

Stone is one of the most common blocks in the game. It makes up most of the Overworld.

Stone is a renewable resource. To create it, mix lava and water. Make sure NOT to mix the source blocks - only mix their trails (If the source blocks are mixed, you get a Obsidian block instead). This will generate a cobblestone block where the two liquids meet. You can then mine the cobblestone, and smelt it into regular stone.

A backdrop version of the Stone block can be obtained by placing the stone itself anywhere on the crafting grid. Backdrop blocks have no collision and are slightly darker than the original block. These type of blocks also occupy the space for any other foreground block too, so its only purpose is for decorating empty (or air-filled) space. To remove it, it must be replaced by another block by putting anything else in the same place or mined while holding another backdrop block.

Placing the stone backdrop block into the crafting grid will give the original stone block back.

Backdrop blocks can be mined only while holding another backdrop. It takes 1.2 seconds to mine the block.
