Iron ore is a mineral block found underground in the Overworld. It is the most common mineral that can be used to make tools and armor.

If mined with a stone pickaxe or above, iron ore drops itself. Otherwise, it drops nothing.

Natural Generation

Iron ore generates in place of stone underground in the Overworld in random veins.

Iron ore can be smelted in a furnace to produce an iron ingot, which is a raw mineral which can be used to craft armor, many tools, and other items.
