Meat can be obtained from pigs, cows, chickens, sheep, rabbits and zombies. All meats (except rotten flesh) can be cooked using a furnace. This method increases the amount of hunger points given once the player consumes the meat, and removes the chance of poisoning the player. Meat can also be fed to tamed wolfs, but raw meat or rotten flesh does not harm dogs in any way.
