Seaweed is a block found in an ocean biome.

Obtaining

When broken, seaweed drops itself. If the block under a seaweed is not another piece of seaweed or sand, it drops as an item.

Natural Generation

Seaweed naturally generates in the ocean biome. Seaweed has a chance to generate in loot chest in stacks up to 9.

Growing

Seaweed can grow upwards in water in the same way that sugarcane and bamboo grow on land. If the block above seaweed is filled with a water source block, it can be replaced with seaweed in water.

Fishing

Seaweed can be caught while fishing. It is a part of junk category.
