Snow is a block that generates naturally in cold biomes and during blizzards. It cannot be retrieved unchanged, even using the Silk Touch enchantment.
Obtaining
Snow can be broken using Shovels or Shears.
Natural Generation
Snow naturally generates in biomes such as mountains, plains, forests and ruins.
Snowstorm
During snowstorms, surfaces can become covered with a layer of snow.
Snow golem
The snow golem immediately covers the block it is standing on with snow.
Usage
Snow cannot be dug up even with a Silk touch tool. It can be moved with a Piston. The only use of snow is as a source of Snow balls.
