White wool is a block that is often used as a building block for its variety of colors.

Sheep
Since wool is obtained from a mob, it makes it renewable.
When sheep are sheared, they will drop one to three pieces of wool. They will regrow their wool after a while, when they eat grass.
The sheep will also drop will upon death.
Crafting
Wool can be crafted using four pieces of string.
Usage
Crafting recipes
White wool is quite useful because it is used to craft the bed, which allows the player to sleep through the night.

Rainbow block
Crafting 7 different colored pieces of wool in a 3 x 3 crafting area will give you a Rainbow block
Afro
An afro is created with 8 wool (omitting the bottom-middle slot).
Santa hat
A santa hat is created with 4 wool in a triangle formation.
Wool backdrop
The wool backdrop is a darker version of the wool block. It has no collision. It is crafted with any one wool block.
