The Mustache is a decorative item that is wearable on the head. It does not provide any armor points to the player.
Obtaining
The only way to have the mustache is what, you have to be very lucky for a sheep with said item. then you must shear the sheep with the Shears
Usage
The mustache can be placed in the helmet slot, or the player can shift click while holding it in their hand. It does not give the player any armor points.
Dispensers
If fired out of a dispenser facing the player and the player is one block next to it, it will automatically equip the mustache onto the player's head.

trivia
The 1.30 update video jokes that wearing the mustache is "double the mustache power" if the player's skin already has a mustache on it.
