Contents
Obtaining
Wool can be broken with anything, but shears are fastest.
Sheep
Since wool is obtained from a mob, it makes it renewable.
When sheep are sheared, they will drop one to three pieces of wool. They will regrow their wool after a while, when they eat grass.
The sheep will also drop wool upon death if it still has its coat.
Crafting
Wool can be crafted using four pieces of string.
Colored wool can be crafted using a dye and white wool. The rainbow colored wool can be obtained by placing seven different colors of wool into a crafting table.
Wool blocks can be crafted back from their respective backdrop.
Usage
Wool blocks are weak, highly flammable, and offer little resistance against explosions. Their primary usage is as a decorative block.
Crafting Ingredient
Three pieces of wool (any combination of colors) are required in the recipe for the bed.
The afro is crafted out of 8 pieces of wool (any color).
A santa hat can be crafted using 4 pieces of wool (any color).
The wool backdrop can be crafted with any one wool block.
