The enchantment table allow players to give armor and tools special abilities and strength. This feature can be looked at as trading experience for enchantments. Enchantment tables are expensive to make as it requires 2 diamonds, 4 obsidian and 1 book. There are a total of 22 enchantments available, although there are several tiers (strengths) to many of the enchantments. Some enchantments may only be given to certain tools.
To craft you need 3 obsidian blocks at the bottom, 1 obsidian block in the middle and 2 diamonds on the left and right of the middle obsidian block and on top of the middle obsidian block a book.
To increase the quality and tier of the enchantments, bookshelves (and bookshelf backdrops) may be placed in the area around the enchantment table. The more the bookshelves, the more chance of receiving better enchantments. However, more XP will be required to get these higher end enchantments.

When a block is mined, you get the original block, like diamond ore drops off diamond ore, instead of diamonds. Is not recommended to mine redstone, lapis lazuli, and other ore that gives you more than one drop.
The bow uses no arrows, but requires at least one arrow in the inventory.
When wearing armor enchanted with this, attackers will be hurt as well.
- Feather Falling
Reduces fall damage.
The XP or Experience Bar shows how much experience the player has. Experience can be found by killing mobs and mining the following ores, Coal, Odd rock and Diamonds. Experience can be cheated in using the xp command (xp value|add amount), but the command will only give a total of 100 levels. Using Experience in a Bottle will bring the level up by 2.
- Once an armor or item is enchanted with something, it can't be enchanted anymore.
