Passive mobs are a type of mob that doesn't attack the player. So far, all passive mobs are based on real life animals. Most passive mobs (with the exception of the Bat) drop cookable meat, and provide access to other useful items, such as Feathers, Milk, Leather, Wool, and Carrots.
