The empty bottle is an item used for creating drinks and potions.
Obtaining
When you drink a potion, juice or a bottle of water, it will give back an empty bottle.
Crafting

Usage
When the player shift clicks a water source block while holding the empty bottle, it will turn into a bottle of water. Unlike the bucket, it will not destroy the water block. When the player shift clicks a cauldron using an empty bottle, it will also turn into a bottle of water and take some of the water out of the cauldron.
Enchanting
The empty bottle can be enchanted to create a bottle of enchanting
