Pumpkins are commonly generated in plain, forest, and mountain biomes. Usually they will generate in groups rather than just one. A neat feature of pumpkins is the ability to wear them. They prevent endermen from becoming enraged by you by looking at them. To wear a pumpkin, place it in the head portion of the armor slots in the inventory.
