Revision as of 14:31, 7 August 2023
Skeletons are hostile mobs that when they see the player will shoot arrows from their bow to deal damage and kill the player.
This mob has 20 ( × 10) Health and will drop arrow, bones and bow when killed.
Contents
Spawning
Skeletons spawn in dark places in the Overworld, which includes the surface at night.
Besides spawning randomly, skeletons will also spawn from monster spawners, making monster spawners a convenient way to get their drops.
Commands
A Skeleton can be spawned in another way besides its respective spawn egg, with the command /summon skeleton
you can spawn it.
In addition to that you can add data tags to customize the skeleton. examples:
/summon skeleton 1 ~ ~ {name:"skeleton custom", health:30, defaultDrops:false}
/summon skeleton 1 ~ ~ {name:"skeleton", health:1, drops:[{item:{id:"bone_shuriken", name:"shuriken"}, quantity:5, bonus:4}}]}
Drops
Skeleton drop experience points when killed.
Upon death it will drop 0-2 Arrow and 0-2 bones. They also have a chance of dropping a bow with random durability as a rare drop.
Crafting
Crafting with the skeleton drop:
Behavior
If a skeleton gets close enough to the player, it will start following them around. They will also attempt to shoot arrows at the player at regular intervals.
They usually have good aim, but good maneuvering can help avoid their attacks. They walk a bit faster than zombies and do 1.5 ( 3 () ) damage.
As with zombies, when skeletons come in contact with sunlight, they catch on fire and take damage.
