The spear is a throwable weapon.
Obtaining
The spear can be picked up when it is a projectile stuck in a block.
Crafting
Spears are crafted using flint and sticks. The recipe crafts four spears.
Usage
The spear can be thrown by holding it in the hand slot and shift-left clicking. If it hits a block, it can be picked back up. It deals 5 hit points (2.5 hearts of damage) if it hits a mob. When it hits a mob, it has a 1/3 chance to attach to it, meaning it has been lost, otherwise it pierces through it, able to be picked up later.

Trivia
- Spears don't get stuck on leaf blocks.
- They can be used to explode the healing crystals in the End on the top of the towers.
- This is the most effective ranged weapon in the game because of its easy crafting recipe, and heavy piercing damage
