Sprinting is a method to roughly double the player's walk speed. It drains hunger quicker.

Controls
Double tap and continue to hold the left or right directional key to sprint in that direction.
Trivia
- While sprinting to the right and then holding down the left arrow key (or A) the player can "moonwalk".
Behavior
Draining Hunger
Sprinting increases the speed of draining hunger.
Faster speed
Sprinting increases the player's walking speed. Sprinting cannot be combined with sneaking.
Appearance
Sprinting uses the frames for walking animation in skins. This animation has 5 frames. The sprinting animation is approximately twice as fast as the walking animation.
