Gold soil is a block on which golden apple trees can grow. You can get it by crafting it, or growing a golden apple tree on a Gold block.

Gold Soil can be crafted using four gold ingots and one Dirt.

When a golden apple tree grows on the Gold block, the gold block turns into gold soil.
Usage
Growing golden apple trees
The only blocks on which you can plant golden apples are gold block and golden soil, making it a useful block for growing golden apples.
Decorative block
Golden soil looks like dirt with gold nuggets embedded in it. Due to this, it is used as a decorative block.
