When mined, apple in leaves drop an apple.
Chests
1-2 apples generate in a bonus chest.
Usage
When eaten, the apple heals 2 hunger points.
Crafting
An apple can be crafted into a candy apple which heals six hunger points and half a heart.

An apple is required in the recipe for a golden apple. This gives the player health and hunger regeneration, so it is better for combat.
