It is crafted like a torch, but using odd rock rather than coal.
Usage
The odd torch turns the area around it dark, allowing hostile mobs to spawn in regions that would otherwise be too bright, as hostile mobs require a dark area to spawn. This is useful for mob spawn traps, for example.
