Sandstone can be found in deserts and at the bottoms of lakes, often as a base for sand. Other than as a light-colored decoration block, sandstone is rather useless.

Sandstone naturally generates in deserts and lake bottoms. It is generated as the "base" for sand.
Crafting
Sandstone can be crafted using four sand. This makes sandstone renewable.
Usage
Sandstone is usually used as decoration and doesn't matter much in the game.
