The bottle of water is a "food" item used to brew potions and making juices.
Contents
Obtaining
A bottle of water is made by shift-clicking while holding and empty bottle on water or a cauldron (if it is holding water). It removes a third of the water in a cauldron, however it does not affect a water source block.
Fishing
It is possible to catch a bottle of water while fishing using a fishing rod.
Commands
The bottle of water is a type of potion, without a unique item ID. To obtain the item via commands, use /give potion 1 0 {type:"water"}
Usage
Food
Although it can be drank, it will not provide any health or restore any hunger points.
Crafting ingredient
The bottle of water is used in the crafting recipes of juices like lemonade, apple juice and orange juice.
