A magma block is an animated block that generates bubble columns and deals damage.

Magma block generates bubble columns when there is Water above it.
Damage
Magma blocks deal one heart of damage when players or mobs are standing on it. Sneaking, or using boots with the Frost walker enchantment will make players take no damage from magma blocks.
