Beetroot seeds are used to grow beetroot, which can be made into beet soup.

Obtaining

Natural generation

Beetroot seed can be found in loot chests in stacks up to 3.

Grass

When you break long grass, you have a small, 6.25% chance of getting a beetroot seed.

Farming

Fully grown beet crops drop 1 beetroot seed, but only when at the final growth stage.

Usage

When a beetroot seed is planted, it will slowly grow into a beetroot crop. Breaking the fully grown crop yields 1-4 beetroot (although more can be obtained using the fortune enchantment), making it a renewable food source. However, unlike in Minecraft, beetroot cannot be converted into red dye, making red flowers the only source.
