A wolf is a mob that can be aggressive if attacked.
Contents
Behavior
Wolves are neutral mobs. If left alone, they will wander around, jump in place and yip. If attacked, they will follow the player, growl, and do damage if they get close enough. If there is a sheep nearby, wolves will randomly decide to attack it.
If a wolf is given enough bones, they will turn into a dog, which has a different skin and has a much different behavior.

Bugs

- Wolves no longer provoke other wolves when hit by the player, and will also no longer chase them. Hostile wolves can still hurt the player upon contact, however.
Trivia
- Other than snowmen, wolves are the only mob that can attack you in peaceful mode.
- If other wolves are nearby when you hit one, they will also attack you.
- If a wolf comes in contact with a bunny or a sheep, the wolf will kill the bunny/sheep, and the items will drop from the killed animals
