Stone (also known as smooth stone, or rock) is one of the most common resources in Mine Blocks. It makes up most of the Overworld.
Contents
Obtaining
When mined with a wooden pickaxe or above, stone drops cobblestone. Cobblestone is used in many crafting recipes, however the player must smelt the cobblestone to get back the stone.
Natural Generation
In the Overworld, stone generates only a couple of blocks below the surface in most biomes. It then carries on until the bottom of the world. Stone can be replaces by caves, ores, gravel veins, dungeons, the J block, and the bedrock borders spawned at the edges of the world.
Crafting
Stone can be crafted into its backdrop, and back.
Smelting
Stone is a renewable resource, as cobblestone, which can be smelted into it, is renewable.
