Gravel is fairly common in Mine Blocks. It can be found underground at any level. When mined, it has a chance to drop gravel or more rarely, flint.

Gravel has no mean of use except for producing flint, which may be mixed with steel to make flint and steel fire starter.

Trivia

You can place a block of Gravel and mine it again, and again, until it drops Flint. If it drops Flint, it doesn't drop Gravel.
