A fishing rod is an unfinished item in the game. Currently it is only used as an intermediate step for crafting the carrot on a stick.

Uses
Other than crafting a carrot on a stick, the fishing rod currently has no purpose. The future planned purpose is to fish, but it has not been added yet.
