In Mine Blocks, there is not much to combat, but there are some things. Combat is used to kill animals and fight monsters. While you can use a number of tools for combat, the most effective way is to use a [[sword]]. There are many types of swords, such as wood, stone, iron, gold, and diamond. Diamond swords are the best ones. You attack your target by pressing your left mouse button. Another way of combat is attacking at range. You can do this using a [[bow]]. Shift-click with the bow to fire it. Remember, you need [[arrows]] to fire out of your bow. Some other ways of fighting at range are using [[bone shurikens]] and [[spears]]. These are also fired with a shift-click.
+
[[Mobs]] can be fought and killed. To attack a mob, click it while while wielding a melee weapon, or shift-click it if you are using a ranged weapon. Different weapons in Mine Blocks include [[swords]] and [[axes]] (melee) and bows, [[spear]]s, [[bone shuriken]]s, and [[snow ball]]s (ranged). When using a ranged weapon, don't forget to make sure you have enough ammunition!

A critical hit is scored when the player attacks while falling, which usually grants a small damage increase. Red star-like particles will appear near the mob when a critical hit happens. The damage increase ranges from an additional 30%-50% attack bonus, including any extra enchantments, being rounded down before being added to the base damage.
