Carrot on a stick is an item used to direct a pig with a saddle in the direction the player is facing. You can use the normal 2x2 crafting grid to craft it. It is a tool, in fact, because its durability gets used up when riding a pig.

There is no such thing as a Golden carrot on a stick.
How to Use
Once the player is riding on a saddled pig, the player cannot control which direction it goes. If the player holds the carrot on a stick (by selecting it), the player then has control over the pig
Bugs
- The player doesn't have total control - the pig avoids falling down drops still. This will be fixed in 1.26.
